You can sorta get dll based mods to work on game pass, its just infinitely more annoying and painful because of how the windows store hides game files from the user, basically locks permissions, etc. Most mods dont work that way, and even on the steam workshop dll mods are banned due ot the fact that they can contain executable code (dll are basically just exe files). Note I said dll based mods, which modify the game files. So guessing no mods atm for Humankind via game pass. At any rate, click patch DLLs with Mods, and the patched file will be under Humankind Mod Tool > Patchedĭll mods are incompatible with GamePass due to the fact that the directories are hidden, protected, etc and are likely to get obliterated on every update given the way the windows store works.

There's a setting to automatically copy patched mods to your game install, but again I assume it needs to find that managed game data folder to do that because the alternative is to not tick that setting and manually copy it over. from there it should show up in the tool. When you run the tool it creates a folder in your documents called Humakind Mod Tool. dll, to patch it, but needs the game path to do so and the gamepass version might not be supported. The tool and mod should be all you need if you can find the managed game data.

Others use the pollution and spawner mods though. I downloaded the Humankind Mod Toll and the dotnet sdk but still nothing.
